quick collage podcast #2
The "quick collage podcast" is art challenge in which I make a collage in 20 minutes around a theme that Paul reveals to me moments before we start the clock. The theme for this episode is "taste."

After you've listened to the podcast, click here to see the finished artwork.

We thought it would fun to invite other artists to join in to see how many variations on the same theme could be created. Click here to see a Flickr photo set of their submissions. Thank you to all who participated this time, it was so much fun to see what you made! If you'd like to play along in the next podcast, stay tuned to my blog, we'll post directions here.

Those look so fun!!!! Thanks for sharing your talents, everyone. It's so inspiring. :o)

I wanted to join as well, but this weekend in which I had planned to take part turned into one of those weekends where me and the hubby ended up running about to every imaginable place having tons of fun, but no free time to work or play on art!

I hope there is another one coming up soon. I really really really want to join in on the fun.

While out and about, me and the hubby joined some friends for dinner at Nob Hill at the MGM. Claudine, this made me think of you. I believe this is the hotel where you'll be seeing a Cirque show while in Las Vegas. Anyway, Nob Hill serves an extremely tasty Truffled Mac 'n Cheese. The catch? It's $32. Ha!!!

I looove mac 'n cheese! if it's that good I would happily pay $32 for it especially after working the show all day. Will check it out before we go to see KA. Thanks for the tip!

We'll plan another podcast in a couple weeks! So not too much longer. Hopefully you can play along too :)

podcast #2 - worth the wait!
I love the way the podcast catches your thought process and the "live action" while you create. I also love the way you talk about it all with a little hind sight after!
How fun to see other takes on the idea too! As always thanks to Paul for being our "roving reporter"!

The new podcast is great! I love knowing that other people (even famous people like you) second-guess the choices they make in their work. It seems to me that when I first make something, I really like it and feel good about it, but the more I think about it and look at it, the more stuff I want to change. I think that's proabably why I have 100's of my books stuffed into plastic tubs instead of having them out where I have to see them. Anyway, thanks for sharing your process!

The blog was really good. Now I have to get some work done - wish I could be as inspired as all your fans. Thought all the artwork was excellent.

wonderfully creative!

I LOVED your podcasts! It was so interesting to get to see how another artist works--even under extreme stress! You and your husband sounded like you were having so much fun. And your art school story gave me hope for my own work. It is soooo hard to accept your art as it is without comparing it to others or judging it as you imagine someone else would. It was great to learn from your experiences. I will be looking forward to the next podcast!
